Whats the best way to get a carpet clean with a steam vac?
I use a hoover steam vac. It works ok but does not get the carpets very clean. How can I get the carpets cleaner?
I will try the oxy clean. You sure it wont make the carpet cleaner foam up? will it hurt the carpet?

It depends on what kinds of stains that you want to get out. I have a small dog, that just took a back slide in potty training, so I have these little pee marks. We just used our Bissell steam cleaner, and the carpet looks great. This is the concoction that I use: Walmart brand pet stain formula carpet soap, scoop of oxyclean (lifts stains and freshens the color of the carpet), 1/4 cup white vinegar (lifts stains and removes odors- and keeps the dog from re-peeing on the carpet), and a multi purpose cleaning powder ( as seen on tv product- supercleans). It worked really good.
