my washer agitates very slowly. We tightened the longer belt and now agitator doesn't move at all. Help?
Obviously tightening the belt didn't help. Any ideas why it agitates slow? Agitator clutch or transmission?
Agitator "dogs"?
Those are the little rubber 'feet' inside the agitator that actually grab and turn the agitator. Pop the top off the agitator and get down in there, you should see approx. 4 little rubber 'feet'. They should have sharp ridges on them. If they don't, they're worn out, and that's why the agitator may not be turning.
